With the development of computer technology, information technology, and space technology, GIS is widely used in many fields such as urban planning, project management, and market analysis. "GIS and Spatial Data Analysis" is a characteristic elective course designed for investment majors, with the main teaching purpose of helping students master the basic theories and skills necessary for spatial data collection, processing, analysis, and application. The course content mainly includes ArcGIS software system and basic interface, map mapping and printing output, spatial data editing, vector spatial data processing and analysis, digital elevation and irregular triangulation analysis, network analysis, and other content. Through a small spatial database, provide multiple comprehensive experimental cases (administrative map production, real estate project site selection analysis, housing price influencing factor analysis, engineering excavation and filling analysis) to guide students in spatial analysis operations, verification of analysis results, interpretation, and visualization.
